ATAC Top 5 times SC 2008-2009

This list was compiled using Hy-Tek’s Team Manager program and lists the Top 5 times for boys and girls in each age group and in every event contested in the current 2009-2009 short course season. A swimmer will appear in the Top 5 list for any given event only once even if that swimmer has more than one of the Top 5 times for that event. If a swimmer has aged up during the course of the season, he/she will appear in the Top 5 listings only in their current age group.

The meets that comprise the 2008-2009 short course season to date are:

  5. Paradise Invitational - Panama City, FL (October 17-19, 2008)
  6. Dothan Invitational - Dothan, AL (October 25-26, 2008)

2008-2009 Short Course NATIONAL Top 10


  • ATAC has 9 swimmers (5 girls and 4 boys) listed in the first installment of the 2008-2009 National Top 10 Preview List as of November 4, 2008. In 2008, USA Swimming adopted age-specific (age 11 only, age 12 only, etc.) rather than age group-specific (e.g., age 11-12, age 13-14, etc.) rankings for swimmers ages 11 to 17. Even though named the "Top 10" Preview List, USA Swimming reports the top 20 times in each age and event. ATAC's 9 swimmers recorded a total of 32 times on the preview list. Cece Williams led ATAC girls with 10 individual times, and Hunter Hinson led ATAC boys with 4 Top 5 times.

    2008 Long Course NATIONAL Top 10


    • ATAC has 11 swimmers in the Florida Swimming Top 10 rankings and 2 swimmers – Lia Lombardi and Joe Ziegler – in the National Top 10 Preview List rankings as of June 27, 2008. For 2008, USA Swimming has adopted age-specific (age 11 only, age 12 only, etc.) rather than age group-specific (e.g., age 11 – 12, age 13 – 14, etc.) rankings for swimmers ages 11 to 17. Even though named the "Top 10" Preview List, USA Swimming reports the top 20 times in each age and event. ATAC's 11 swimmers recorded a total of 42 Florida Swimming Top 10 times and 4 National Top 10 Preview List times. Lia Lombardi and Cece Williams led ATAC girls with 10 and 8 Florida Top 10 times, respectively, and Joe Ziegler led ATAC boys with 3 National Top 10 times.

      • ATAC has 18 swimmers (7 girls and 11 boys) listed in the second installment of the 2007 – 2008 short course season Florida Swimming Top 10 rankings as of December 16, 2007. ATAC’s 18 swimmers recorded a total of 58 Top 10 times (31 Top 10 girls; 27 Top 10 boys). Cece Williams and Megan Walker led ATAC with 10 and 7 total individual Top 10 times, respectively. Three ATAC swimmers – Megan Walker, Alexandra Merritt, and Joe Ziegler – each recorded 1st place swims in at least one event.

        • ATAC has 4 swimmers (3 girls and 1 boy) listed in the second installment of the 2008 National Top 10 Preview List as of February 7, 2008. For 2008, USA Swimming has adopted age-specific (age 11 only, age 12 only, etc.) rather than age group-specific (e.g., age 11 – 12, age 13 – 14, etc.) rankings for swimmers ages 11 to 17. Even though named the “Top 10” Preview List, USA Swimming reports the top 20 times in each age and event. ATAC’s 4 swimmers recorded a total of 9 times on the preview list. Joe Ziegler led ATAC with 5 individual times, including 2 first place rankings – in the 100 yard freestyle and 200 yard freestyle.

          Listing 8/31/2007: ATAC had 14 swimmers in the Florida Top 10 in 50 events and 3 swimmers (Megan Walker, Alex Merritt, Joe Ziegler) in the NATIONAL TOP 25 time rankings in 6 events.

          Listing 8/31/2007: ATAC had 14 swimmers in the Florida Swimming Top 10 rankings and 3 swimmers (Cece Williams, Alexandria Merritt, and Joe Ziegler) in the National Top 25 rankings. ATAC’s 14 swimmers recorded a total of 50 Florida Swimming Top 10 times and 6 National Top 25 times.
